Local Surf Zones
In Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, and Surfside Beach surfing is only allowed in certain areas of the beach. Here
is a list of the surf zones.
North Myrtle Beach:
Surfers must stay in zones from 9am-4pm, May 15th - September 15th
- Cherry Grove Pier
- 6th Ave North
- 13th Ave South
- 28th Ave South
- 38th Ave South
Myrtle Beach:
Surfers must stay in zones from 10am-5pm, April 30th - September 15th
- 82nd Ave North - Northern City Limits
- 62nd Ave North - 68th Ave North
- 39th Ave North - 47th Ave North
- 8th Ave North
- Springmaid Pier
Surfside Beach:
Surfers must stay in zones 10am-5pm year round
- 12th Ave North - 14th Ave North
- 13th Ave South - Melody Lane
Garden City Beach:
- Surfing is allowed anywhere in Garden City
